Squares In Color - Three

the days just march along and

what was once an anticipated moment
becomes a blur in real time
that fast fades into memory.

and the marching days continue
as dreaded days and warmly
welcomed days each take a turn.

the present is here as our perpetual guest
a seabird leaping from the chalk cliff,
a wave dissolving in the sand.

I loved the poem and the photo was great, all those looking like a grain of sand compared to the stadium, but each one is precious.

I like this square "trilogy"! And you're right, leaving out the details of who and what these photos are leaves open the possibility for us viewers to make up our own stories.

Looking at this photo, for instance, really hit me. About how so many of us are just spectators. And the days keep passing!

Yes abby, i like the way each of us can see an image as a fresh window - and can see shapes and forms and colors - or can see content - or even the reflection of our own thoughts.

And i think it is fun too to get some feedback from the photographer - this is what was happening for me sort of thing.

Here, my son and i were at the US Open in Flushing Meadows, New York,
and we were high above the stands in Arthur Ashe Stadium, looking down on Andy Roddick winning a point in the opening round.

Last year, Andy bowed out of the tournament losing in the first round, and i ~know~ he was looking forward to the tournament this year to attone for his loss. This year he made it all the way to the finals, where he lost to Federer.
