Today I find myself
looking down
at his dusty sandals
on my own feet.
Thousands of years apart
yet still the same
Lives
coated with dust
left over
from sins committed
righteousness neglected
Hearts
wishing for another chance
praying to be purged
longing to be washed
Clean
refreshed
washed with the purist of water
that only He can supply.

Simply. Beautiful.
For some reason, when I saw the drops of water in this pic, that was all I could think of... how cool the water looked, how clean... and that's what made me remember that scripture.
